I will preface this by pointing out right away that I’m not a writer. Nor am I an expert on vegetarianism, pescetarianism, veganism or any other ism. What I am is an ordinary person with big goals and a big heart.
I’ve been working towards going plant-based for over four years now. It may seem like a long time but it’s really not what you think. The slow and steady method I took to get to this point has been extremely effective, and I’m here today to share my experience in order to help you through your own journey.
There are countless ways that one can work towards a goal. And no one way is wrong. With this in mind, my objective of this blog The Veggie Method (TVM) is to provide inspiration for your own path. I encourage you to learn from my experience and mold it into your own awesome plan!

In the TVM blog you will find chapters about my road to a whole foods diet. My vision of this site is to expose what nobody talks about around this topic. I want to share my triumphs and my difficulties. Tell the real story behind this change, and not the sugar-coated version.

About The Author
I’m an ambitious early-twenties girl living in Vancouver, BC. I’m originally not from here, but I moved to the city for school and a career. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made, right next to deciding to slowly and surely become a vegan.
I have always had a passion for animals as you will soon learn if you read further into my blog. In fact, the core driver of my becoming a vegetarian was for the animals. But since then I’ve learned that there are so many other great reasons to become a vegetarian, or vegan, too. Like health or environment!
I feel as though I’ve accomplished a handful of awesome things in my life so far, but my progress to becoming a vegetarian/vegan is definitely what I am most proud of. It makes me feel like I can do anything. Have you ever decided you were going to suddenly change and do something differently? Like not bite your nails or lose weight or give up your favourite fast food. To me, being able to stick with cutting out meat is like accomplishing all of those combined!
Above my commitment to becoming a vegetarian, I also have a few hobbies. I really enjoy painting, crafting, exercising, and craft beer. Right? I know. So good.
I work for an awesome digital marketing agency in Downtown Vancouver, which turns out to be an ideal area to work and live when you are a vegetarian or vegan. There are just so many options! Vancouver is a pretty forward-thinking city, and I feel so lucky to be able to live here.
Enough about me. I hope from the bottom of my heart that you enjoy this blog and take from it what you would like.
